Did Someone Happen to Mention Me? (2026)

Gen Takasegawa triumphs as the first Japanese lead at Shakespeare's Globe. But when he returns home, a startling reality awaits: no one knows who he is.

Stripped of his fame and identity, Gen takes a job at a rundown sauna — and gets his first brutal lesson in what it means to be ordinary.

Gen meets Okamoto's troupe, adopts the stage name Taku Tanaka — and discovers his estranged daughter is working at a concept cafe. He starts showing up.

A job in Kyoto brings Gen face to face with his father's legacy — and forces him to confront the shadow he spent his whole career running from.

On set, Gen discovers he's not the only actor the world forgot. But when he has to work with an old flame, his hard-won composure starts to crack.

With a career-defining opportunity within reach, Gen bares his soul to the world. Whether the world is ready to listen is another matter entirely.

Gen's stage comeback takes a detour he never saw coming. As opening night looms, chaos mounts — and everything rides on one small stage.
